Joanne Brown

Joanne Brown retired from her position as an English professor at Drake University, but continues to teach and write. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theater from Northwestern University and a master’s degree and doctorate in English from Drake. In prior decades, she appeared frequently on the Playhouse stage. She’s currently a member of a group of senior citizens who revive old radio plays and create original shows for “anyone who wants to hire us.” She and her late husband Milt have three children and six grandchildren.
