When you bring the Story of My Life team to your group, community, association or non-profit, you get a team of professionals trained in the art of storyelling through writing, video, audio, and photography. We set up booths in your facility and spend the afternoon, the day, or the week there while your members sign up for time slots bringing their best photos.

If you decide to invite the Story of My Life team of Storytellers for a group event, we first decide on a date. It can be weekends, evenings – any time that works for your members. We send out flyers to the members, or if this is targeting a larger community, we utilize local resources for marketing and PR. We let everyone know that they should prepare ahead of time by using our preparation question guides and biography sheet, and gather old photos they’d like to have scanned. On the big day, they should dress nice for their photos, and come with additional family or friends if they want them to be part of the interview. We create terrific memories by having loved ones interview each other on film or audio, and our facilitators will guide you through the process so that the interviews stay on target. Each attendee is given a DVD of their Stories, a web biography is created, and afterwards we will gather the stories together into a web page for the group.

• Help us with Marketing to the group to let them know we’re coming & sign-up

We help with everything and we do all the work! You invite us to your group to host a Storytellers Day and we bring our team, our equipment, we set up and break it down at the end, leaving the location the same way we found it. All of our employees are background checked as well.

There is a $2500 charge if a team is within driving distance of our strategically located home bases throughout the country. A bit more may be added on for additional travel costs – but we’ll keep these minimal and work with you on these! The goal here is to make sure that the event happens in your Community. This money can be arranged by getting Sponsors – and we can help! If we raise over the base per day fee, we will set aside 10% of those proceeds for the following visit, additional one on one video or written stories, or donated to a charity or organization of your choice.
