USA TODAY: I Am An American

Kick-off to the "I Am An American" storytelling series began in Phoenix, AZ, June 14. Five storytellers shared unique narratives about their lived realities growing up as part of the working poor in America, growing up as a first generation American, migrating to America with people mispronouncing your name, and being gay in America.
