From the event: Love: Unconditional and Otherwise
Adam Henze was the official poet of the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 in 2016. He beat out dozens of other candidates with his poem, “For Those Who Love Loud, Fast Things,” celebrating “the track folk who just love the smell of ethanol.” Henze, a doctoral student in education at Indiana University, has been poet and organizer in the slam community for more than a decade.
